Maserati Levante Single Generation
2017–2024 · M161 · suv
Built at Mirafiori in Turin on the Chrysler LX platform shared with the Ghibli and Quattroporte. Engines: 3.0L F160 twin-turbo V6 (350-430hp), 3.8L F154 twin-turbo V8 (580-590hp Trofeo), 3.0L turbodiesel V6 (Europe), plus a mild-hybrid 2.0L I4 for European markets. AWD standard. Production ended March 2024 — Maserati is replacing it with the all-electric Grecale and Folgore-branded EVs.
Watch out: F160 V6 timing-chain-tensioner failure — same Ferrari-built-V6 weak spot that affects the Ghibli and Quattroporte. Air suspension leaks at the bags and compressor on higher-mileage cars are also a recurring cost. The Trofeo's F154 V8 is strong but very expensive to service. Electronics gremlins and infotainment crashes are common Levante complaints.
Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
