The LS 430 replaced the LS 400 nameplate with a larger 3UZ-FE 4.3L V8 and arguably the most over-engineered chassis Lexus has ever shipped. Many enthusiasts consider this the peak of Lexus flagship quality. Air-suspension trims (Ultra Luxury packages) and standard coil-spring trims are both available.

Watch out: Owner reports of air-suspension compressor and bag failures on the Ultra Luxury packages (the conversion to coilovers is a common older-car solution). 3UZ-FE timing belt every 90k miles, VVT-i oil line concerns shared with related Toyota V8s, and aging navigation DVD drives on early units.
