Lexus IS XE40 (4th Generation)

Some references treat the 2021 IS as a heavy XE30 facelift; Lexus markets it as a new generation. New bodywork, refreshed interior, retuned chassis, and the big news for 2022: the IS 500 F-Sport Performance with the 2UR-GSE 5.0L V8 (472 hp) — a true successor to the IS-F. IS 300 (turbo four or V6 AWD) and IS 350 (V6) carry over as volume trims.

Watch out: Owner reports of infotainment lag on pre-2024 units (older Lexus Enform stack), and rear-shock-tower clearance limiting larger wheel/tire fitments. The IS 500 has its own tire-wear curve — confirm tires are fresh on used examples.
