Lexus GS S140 (1st Generation)
1993–1997 · S140 · sedan
The original GS launched in 1993 with Giugiaro-designed bodywork shared with the Toyota Aristo. US-market cars were GS 300 only, powered by the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE 3.0L inline-six (around 220 hp). It bridges the LS and IS lines but never sold strongly in the US.
Watch out: Owner reports of aging electrical (cluster bulbs, climate control LCDs), worn suspension bushings, and rust on cars from salt-belt states. The 2JZ-GE is durable but timing-belt service is overdue on most surviving examples.
