Lexus ES XV30 (4th Generation, ES 300/330)

2002–2006 · XV30 · sedan

The XV30 launched as the ES 300 with the carryover 1MZ-FE V6, then became the ES 330 in 2004 when Toyota swapped in the 3.3L 3MZ-FE V6 across the lineup. Bigger and quieter than the XV20, with a more contemporary interior. Volume seller in its day, lots of clean used examples still on the road.

Watch out: Owner reports of dashboard cracking on cars in hot-climate states, sludge concerns on early 1MZ-FE units, and worn front struts and lower control arm bushings as miles climb. Timing belt service every 90k miles applies to both 1MZ and 3MZ engines.
