Kia Soul PS (2nd Generation)

Second-gen Soul kept the boxy silhouette but added refinement, length, and quieter cabin materials. US lineup: 1.6L Gamma GDI (130 hp), 2.0L Nu GDI (164 hp), and the 1.6L Gamma turbo (201 hp) on the Soul Exclaim from 2017. Soul EV (30 kWh battery, around 93 miles EPA) sold in compliance states only. Built in Korea at Gwangju. FWD only across the entire range.

Watch out: REAL ISSUE: The 2.0L Nu Atkinson GDI applications are part of Hyundai-Kia rod-bearing service campaigns and the knock sensor detection software fix. Check VIN against active NHTSA campaigns. The 1.6T DCT had documented hesitation and clutch wear complaints.
