Kia EV6 CV (1st Generation)
2022–2026 · CV · hatchback
Kia's E-GMP platform sibling to the Ioniq 5, with sleeker fastback proportions instead of the Ioniq 5's tall hatch. 800-volt architecture supports 350 kW DC fast charging. US battery options are 58 kWh standard range and 77.4 kWh (later 84 kWh) long range. Single-motor RWD or dual-motor AWD. The EV6 GT trim makes 576 hp from dual motors for a 3.4-second 0-60. A 2024 facelift refreshed the front and added a curved dashboard.
Watch out: REAL ISSUE: Shares the ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) failure recall pattern with the Ioniq 5 (multiple NHTSA campaigns from 2024 onward). The 12V battery can drain and strand the vehicle. Verify the ICCU has been physically replaced under warranty. Charging-port lock motor failures also documented.
