Jeep Gladiator JT (Modern Gladiator)

20202026 · JT · pickup

Built alongside the Wrangler JL at Toledo on a stretched JL frame — same removable doors, fold-down windshield, and removable top, with a 60.3-inch steel bed grafted on. Engines: 3.6L Pentastar V6 (285hp) standard, 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 (260hp) available 2021-2023, and a 2.0L Hurricane turbo I4 coming for 2027. Standard 4WD with Command-Trac, Selec-Trac, or Rock-Trac depending on trim. European sales ended 2023; remains the only midsize pickup with a solid front axle.

Watch out: Death wobble — Gladiator inherits the JL's front-axle steering-shimmy issue. Front-end vibration under braking or over expansion joints (especially on lifted trucks or with larger tires) is well-documented; Mopar TSB 22-002-19 covers steering-damper replacement on JL, and the same fix applies to Gladiator. The EcoDiesel V6 also had documented EGR cooler and high-pressure-fuel-pump failures during its short 2021-2023 run.

Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
