Infiniti QX50 J50

Renaming of the EX35/EX37 under Infiniti's 2013-2015 Q-and-QX nomenclature shuffle. 3.7L VQ37VHR V6 (~325hp), 7-speed automatic, RWD or AWD. Built on the Nissan FM platform, same family as the G37/Q50 sedans. Tall-coupe-shaped crossover that was somewhere between a wagon and an SUV in proportions. Mid-cycle the wheelbase was extended slightly to add rear-seat room. Discontinued after 2017; the totally-different 2nd-gen QX50 launched as a 2019.

Watch out: Same VQ37VHR timing-chain-tensioner issue as the 370Z and G37, cold-start rattle is the tell. Aging electronics (especially in-dash systems) are the secondary concern. Mechanically these cars are durable; the EX/J50 platform is the Infiniti sweet spot for cheap RWD V6 fun in SUV clothing.
