The 4th-gen Pilot launched late 2022 as a 2023 model on a new platform. J35Y8 3.5L V6 produces 285hp paired with a 10-speed automatic. Honda finally dropped VCM on most trims. New TrailSport trim adds an off-road suspension, 1-inch lift, all-terrain tires, and a torque-vectoring rear axle. i-VTM4 AWD. Up to 5,000 lb tow rating on properly equipped models.
Watch out: Too early for a settled long-term fault pattern. Early-build TrailSport owners have reported some 10-speed automatic shift-quality complaints under low-speed maneuvering; check current TSBs before buying used.
