Honda Insight 3rd Generation

The 3rd-gen Insight launched 2019 as a Civic-based sedan with the two-motor i-MMD hybrid system, 151hp combined, and a 55 mpg combined EPA rating. Built in Greensburg, Indiana. Honda positioned it above the Civic and below the Accord Hybrid in price. Quiet, smooth, conventional sedan styling, no Magic Seat or quirky hatchback compromise. Discontinued after 2022 with the next Civic Hybrid taking its slot.

Watch out: Too short a production run and too quiet a reception for a settled fault pattern; the i-MMD hybrid system shared with the Accord Hybrid is generally durable in long-term reporting. Watch for the standard Honda paint-clear-coat sensitivity to abrasion documented on this platform's other vehicles.
