The US-market 2nd-gen HR-V is a distinct vehicle from the global HR-V (which is the Vezel-based ZR-V in other markets). It rides on the 11th-gen Civic platform with the K20C3 2.0L naturally aspirated I4 making 158hp paired with a CVT. Larger, heavier, more refined than the outgoing car. Built in Celaya, Mexico. No hybrid option in the US lineup at launch.

Watch out: Acceleration complaints have grown louder with the heavier body and the same NA 2.0L power; merging onto fast freeways takes planning. Watch for the standard Honda CVT service intervals and check for any open recalls at purchase.
