Honda CR-V 4th Generation
2012–2016 · RM · suv
The 4th-gen CR-V launched in the US in December 2011 as a 2012 model. Early cars used the port-injected K24Z7 2.4L i-VTEC making 185hp. The 2015 refresh brought the K24W1 direct-injected 2.4L with 184hp and a CVT replacing the 5-speed automatic. FWD or Real Time AWD. Last generation before Honda moved the volume CR-V to the L15B7 1.5L turbo.
Watch out: Direct-injection K24W1 (2015-2016) suffers carbon buildup on intake valves like other DI engines; an intake-valve cleaning around 60,000 to 80,000 miles is a common recommendation among long-term owners.
