Honda CR-V 3rd Generation
2007–2011 · RE1-RE5 · suv
The 3rd-gen CR-V went on sale in the US in late 2006 as a 2007 model with the K24Z1 2.4L i-VTEC rated at 166hp paired with a 5-speed automatic. The spare tire moved from the rear gate to underneath the cargo floor, the swing-out tailgate became a top-hinged liftgate, and a manual transmission was no longer offered in the US. FWD or Real Time 4WD.
Watch out: AC compressor failure is the well-known fault on these cars, often before 100,000 miles, especially in hot climates. Honda extended warranties were not universal; budget for replacement on a higher-mileage example.
