Honda Accord 7th Generation

2003–2007 · CM · sedan

Seventh-gen Accord ran 2003 through 2007. Sedan chassis codes are CM4/CM5/CM6, coupe codes are CM7/CM8. I4 cars used the K24A4 (2003-2005) and K24A8 (2006-2007). V6 cars used the J30A4 (2003-2005) and J30A5 (2006-2007). A 6-speed manual was available on the V6 coupe from 2003 and added to the V6 sedan for 2006. A hybrid trim (JNA1) with Variable Cylinder Management was offered 2005-2007.

Watch out: The 2003-2007 generation was included in Honda's massive 2011 transmission recall (11V-395) affecting V6 automatics. Hybrid IMA batteries on 2005-2007 cars are also a documented wear item. The Takata airbag recall (14V-351) covers most cars in this range.
