Genesis G80 RG3 (2nd Generation, Genesis-brand era)

Second-gen G80 under the Genesis sub-brand on the new M3 rear-drive platform. US lineup: 2.5L Smartstream turbo I4 (300 hp) and 3.5L Smartstream twin-turbo V6 (375 hp). RWD standard, AWD optional. The Electrified G80, launched late 2022 as a 2023 model, runs dual permanent-magnet motors making 365 hp combined on an 87.2 kWh battery. Built at Hyundai's Ulsan plant. Two-Lines headlight signature became the brand's calling card.

Watch out: The Smartstream powertrain has so far avoided the catastrophic Theta II recall pattern. Early-build 2021 cars had some software issues with the curved 14.5-inch infotainment that were addressed via OTA. The Electrified G80 shares the ICCU concerns of other E-GMP-related Hyundai-Kia EVs; check campaigns before purchase.
