Genesis G70 IK (1st Generation)

Genesis's first compact sport sedan and 2019 North American Car of the Year. Shares the rear-drive CK platform with the Kia Stinger, tuned softer and quieter for the Genesis brief. US launch lineup: 2.0L Theta II turbo (252 hp) and 3.3L Lambda II twin-turbo V6 (365 hp). RWD standard, AWD optional. A 2022 facelift updated the front and rear and added quad-light signatures. The 2025 model year facelift refined the front further. 6-speed manual offered briefly on 2019 RWD 2.0T (dropped after).

Watch out: REAL ISSUE: The 3.3L Lambda II twin-turbo shares the same catalytic converter clogging and cylinder 4/5 misfire pattern documented on the Kia Stinger. The 2.0T Theta II is part of the broader Hyundai-Kia rod-bearing service campaign coverage. Verify any active NHTSA campaigns before purchase.
