Dodge Dart PF (Single Generation)

2013–2016 · PF · sedan

Built on the PF platform — a widened version of Fiat's Compact U.S. Wide (CUSW) architecture, also under the Jeep Cherokee KL. Engines: 2.0L Tigershark I4 (160hp), 1.4L MultiAir turbo I4 (160hp), and 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir 2 I4 (184hp). Available with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, or 6-speed dual-clutch (the DCT was notoriously rough). Discontinued September 2016 as Dodge exited the compact-sedan segment.

Watch out: The 6-speed DDCT dual-clutch transmission paired with the 1.4L Turbo is the headline failure mode — harsh shifts, hesitation, and outright failure are common, and several class-action settlements addressed software and clutch-pack issues. Manual and torque-converter automatic Darts hold up better, but rear suspension knuckle/bushing wear is also documented.
