Chrysler Town & Country RT (5th Generation)
2008–2016 · RT · van
Built on the Chrysler RT platform — mechanically identical to the Dodge Grand Caravan but with higher trim, more sound deadening, and standard leather. Engines: 3.3L, 3.8L, and 4.0L V6s (2008-2010), then the 3.6L Pentastar V6 (283hp) from 2011 on. Stow 'n Go second-row seats fold flat into the floor (a Chrysler exclusive). Discontinued 2016 in favor of the Pacifica.
Watch out: Same 3.6L Pentastar left-bank rocker arm failure on 2011-2013 builds, and TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) failures that trigger random electrical gremlins — fuel pump, wipers, doors, all on the same module. Sliding-door track motors are also a known wear point.
