2016–2019 · Voltec 2 · hatchback

Second-generation Voltec PHEV with 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, EPA-rated 53-mile EV range, and a new 1.5L LV7 inline-four engine-generator. Two electric motors (149 hp combined). Discontinued in February 2019 when GM exited the sedan/hatchback market.

Watch out: Same ICE-disuse concern as Gen 1 — engine going months without running can lead to bearing wear; use a periodic maintenance-mode run. 12V auxiliary battery failures are also disproportionately common; AGM replacement is standard.
