First-generation Traverse on GM's Lambda platform (siblings: GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook, Buick Enclave). Single engine: 3.6L LLT/LY7 V6 (281-288 hp) early; 3.6L LFX V6 (281-310 hp) from 2013. 6-speed 6T75 automatic. FWD or AWD.
Watch out: 3.6L LLT/LY7 timing-chain stretch on pre-2012 builds is the major issue — symptoms include rough idle, P0008/P0009 codes, and rattle on cold start. Repair commonly runs $1,500-$3,000. 2013+ LFX revised the timing system and is much improved.
