Chevrolet Trailblazer GMT360 (Mid-size SUV)
2002–2009 · GMT360 · suv
Body-on-frame mid-size SUV on GM's GMT360 platform (siblings: GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Isuzu Ascender, Saab 9-7X, Oldsmobile Bravada). 4.2L LL8 Atlas inline-six (270-291 hp) standard; 5.3L LH6/LS V8 optional; 6.0L LS2 V8 in the 2006-2009 Trailblazer SS (390 hp). EXT long-wheelbase 2002-2006. Note: this is a different vehicle from the 2020+ Trailblazer crossover that revived the name.
Watch out: 4.2L Atlas I6 has well-documented timing-chain tensioner and valve-seat wear issues; instrument cluster gauge-needle failures (stuck/jumping gauges) are nearly universal — a $200-$400 cluster rebuild is the standard fix.
