Eleventh-generation Suburban on the K2XX platform (sibling to K2XX Tahoe / Yukon XL). EcoTec3 5.3L L83 V8 standard; 6.2L L86 V8 added on Premier from 2018. 6-speed automatic (5.3L), 10-speed 10L80 (6.2L from 2018).

Watch out: 5.3L L83 AFM lifter failure is the defining issue — same pattern as the rest of the GMT family. 8-speed 8L90 shudder on early 6.2L trucks is the secondary complaint.
