Chevrolet SS Single Generation
2014–2017 · Zeta (VF Commodore) · sedan
Rebadged Holden VF Commodore SS, built in Australia and exported to the US 2013-2017 (MY 2014-2017). 6.2L LS3 V8 (415 hp / 415 lb-ft). Initially automatic-only; 6-speed Tremec TR-6060 manual added for 2015. RWD only. Magnetic Ride Control and Brembo brakes standard from 2015. Production ended when Holden closed its Australian plant in October 2017; total US sales ~12,800.
Watch out: LS3 fuel-pump (high-pressure mechanical) failures and Brembo front-rotor warping under hard use are the recurring complaints — both common to the platform. Parts sourcing for the Holden-specific interior bits (dashboard, switchgear) is increasingly difficult.
