Chevrolet Corvette C7 (7th Generation)

2014–2019 · C7 · coupe

C7 launched 2014 as the Stingray — direct-injected 6.2L LT1 (455hp). The 2015+ Z06 runs the supercharged LT4 (650hp); the 2019 ZR1 runs the supercharged LT5 (755hp). The 7-speed Tremec TR-6070 manual got rev-match downshifts; the 8-speed 8L90 paddle automatic launched 2015. Electric steering replaced hydraulic. Last front-engine Corvette before the C8 went mid-engine.

Watch out: Z06 LT4 supercharger heat-soak — sustained track use causes IAT (intake air temperature) climb that pulls timing and cuts power. GM TSB 16-NA-340 covers blower-snout improvements; aftermarket pulley/heat-exchanger upgrades are common.
