Chevrolet Camaro 6th Generation
2016–2024 · Alpha · coupe
Built on GM's Alpha platform (shared with Cadillac ATS / CTS). 2.0L turbo I4 (275 hp), 3.6L V6 (335 hp), 6.2L naturally-aspirated LT1 V8 in the SS (455 hp), and the supercharged 6.2L LT4 in the ZL1 (650 hp). 1LE track package available across trims. Discontinued after 2024; electric successor in development.
Watch out: 6.2L LT1 AFM (Active Fuel Management) lifter failures on V8 SS models are widely documented — collapsed lifter can damage the camshaft; repair commonly runs $3,000-$6,000.
