Front-wheel-drive electric hatch. 60 kWh battery (2017-2019, 238 miles EPA) and 66 kWh (2020-2023, 259 miles EPA), both LG Chem cells. Single front motor: 200 hp / 266 lb-ft. Bolt EUV (larger) ran 2022-2023 alongside. Production ended December 20, 2023; a redesigned successor is planned on Ultium.

Watch out: The battery fire recall is the defining issue — GM and LG recalled all 2017-2022 Bolts (~142,000 vehicles) and replaced affected packs. Recalled cars got an 8-year warranty on the new pack plus the upgraded 259-mile range. Verify recall completion before buying used.
