Chevrolet Blazer 2nd Generation (Crossover)
2019–2026 · C1XX · suv
The Blazer nameplate returned in 2019 as a mid-size crossover SUV on GM's C1XX unibody platform, the same architecture as the GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5. This is not the body-on-frame K5/S-10 Blazer; it is an entirely different vehicle. Initial powertrains were a 2.5L naturally-aspirated four (base), 2.0L turbo four, and 3.6L LGX V6. Front-wheel drive standard, all-wheel drive optional. The Blazer EV launched as a separate model (Ultium platform) for 2024 and is a distinct vehicle from this gas Blazer.
Watch out: Owner reports of 9-speed automatic transmission shift-quality issues (shudder, harsh shifts) are widely documented and have prompted multiple software updates. Infotainment freezes and stop/start reliability complaints are also common.
Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
