Cadillac ATS 1st Generation
2013–2019 · Alpha · sedan
Compact luxury sedan/coupe on GM's Alpha platform (sibling to Camaro 6th gen, CTS 3rd gen). 2.5L LCV I4 (202 hp, 2013-2016), 2.0L LTG turbo I4 (272 hp), 3.6L LFX/LGX V6 (321-335 hp). 6-speed manual on turbo builds, 6-speed auto early, 8-speed 8L45 from 2016. RWD or AWD. Sedan from launch; coupe added for 2015. Replaced by the CT4.
Watch out: 2.0L LTG turbo timing-chain stretch and HPFP failures are the recurring complaints. 3.6L LFX/LGX direct-injection intake-valve carbon buildup is the typical 60-80k issue. 8L45 transmission shudder TSB applies on later builds.
