Fourth-gen X5, on the CLAR platform. xDrive40i (B58 turbo-6), xDrive50i / M60i (N63 V8), xDrive45e then xDrive50e plug-in hybrid, and the X5 M / X5 M Competition (S63). 2024 LCI refreshed the grille, lights, and switched to the curved-display iDrive 8.5. The big BMW SUV that has aged best in this generation.

Watch out: N63-family V8s (50i/M60i) still demand attention to oil consumption and chain components, though improved across the family. xDrive45e/50e PHEV batteries are out of warranty on the oldest cars — verify capacity before purchase.
