The G02 X4 is the second-generation coupé-SUV variant of the X3, launched for the 2019 model year and built on the G01 X3 platform. US powertrains include the B48 turbocharged inline-four (xDrive30i) and the B58 turbocharged inline-six (M40i), with S58 in the X4 M and X4 M Competition.
Watch out: Owner reports across the B48/B58 family include oil filter housing gasket weeps and electric water pump life; these are routine in the BMW community rather than G02-specific. Coupé-SUV roofline reduces rear headroom versus the X3.
