Built on a dedicated EV platform (not adapted ICE). xDrive40 (76 kWh, lower range), xDrive50 (111.5 kWh, the volume seller), and the iX M60 with 610 hp. Carbon-fiber-reinforced body structure carried forward from i3 thinking. Big closed kidney grille hides sensors and divides opinion. Class-leading cabin tech, quiet ride.

Watch out: Too new and too low-volume in the US for a defining mechanical failure. The 12V auxiliary battery has been cited in scattered no-start reports — keep tabs on it. Cost of body repair (CFRP / aluminum panels) is significant on a panel-strike.
