Major split between markets. US C8 S6: 2.9L TFSI biturbo V6 (444 hp), 8-speed Tiptronic. Europe C8 S6: 3.0L TDI V6 with electric powered compressor (mild-hybrid, no US version due to Dieselgate fallout). Quattro AWD. Sedan only in the US. Twin-touchscreen MMI Touch interior carries over from the A6 C8.

Watch out: Too new for a defining failure pattern. The 2.9T V6 is shared with the Porsche Macan and RS5 and broadly considered reliable. Twin-touchscreen MMI software polish has been the consistent forum gripe — multiple updates issued.
