Audi S6 C6 (3rd Generation)

2007–2011 · C6 · sedan

5.2L FSI V10 (BXA / BSM) — 435 hp / 398 lb-ft. Shared block architecture with the Lamborghini Gallardo. 6-speed Tiptronic automatic only (no manual in the US). Quattro AWD. C6 Avant version of the S6 existed in Europe but US got sedan only. The C6 S6 sat between the supercharged S6 successors and Audi's gentler V8 cars.

Watch out: FSI V10 timing chain tensioners — engine-out service if they fail, and they do. Intake valve carbon buildup is severe (FSI direct injection without port injection). Magnetic ride dampers leak and aren't cheap. Premium fuel and oil intervals are absolute.
