Audi S5 B9 (2nd Generation)

20182024 · B9 · coupe

The B9 S5 launched in the US for the 2018 model year, replacing the supercharged 3.0 TFSI V6 with a new twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0 TFSI V6 (codename CWGD in early models) producing 354 hp. US body styles include coupe, cabriolet and Sportback, all with quattro and ZF 8-speed automatic.

Watch out: Too new for a settled long-term failure picture. Owner reports across the turbocharged 3.0 TFSI family include carbon buildup on intake valves (direct injection only on early B9), water pump life, and intake-manifold flap motor failures shared with the supercharged engine. Verify model-year-specific TSBs before publishing detail content.
