Built on the MLB platform shared with the VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne first generations. 3.6L FSI VR6 early, 3.0T supercharged V6 from 2011, 4.2 FSI V8 (BAR / BTQ), 6.0L V12 TDI in Europe only, 3.0 TDI V6 diesel (Dieselgate fallout). True three-row seating. 2011 LCI added MMI 3G.

Watch out: 3.0T supercharged: water pump and thermostat housing failures, supercharger snout bearing. 4.2 V8: timing chain rattle on neglected cars (transmission-out for the right service). TDI: emissions software updates and post-Dieselgate residual value drop. Air suspension components fail on the highest-mileage examples.
