Moved to MLB Evo platform shared with A4 B9 / A5 B9. 2.0T TFSI EA888 Gen 3B (CYRB), then Gen 4 from 2021 LCI; 3.0T TFSI V6 (DCBC) in the SQ5 (349 hp). Q5 PHEV (55 TFSI e) added. 2021 LCI brought MIB3 infotainment with center touchscreen, replacing MMI rotary controller. SQ5 Sportback (coupe-roof variant) added 2021.

Watch out: EA888 Gen 3B: PCV valve, water pump, thermostat housing — the family pattern continues. SQ5 3.0T (turbocharged, not supercharged like the 8R): intake-valve carbon and PCV diaphragm. 7-speed S tronic DSG: fluid service every 40k regardless of Audi's longer suggestion.
