Audi Q3 8U (1st Generation)

20152018 · 8U · suv

First US Q3. PQ35 platform (the older A3 8P / Tiguan generation). 2.0T TFSI EA888 (CCTA, 200 hp). 6-speed Tiptronic automatic (not DSG). FWD or Quattro AWD. Smallest Audi crossover sold in the US at the time. Short US run — replaced by the F3 second-gen in 2019.

Watch out: EA888 Gen 2 carryover concerns: timing chain tensioner failure on neglected cars (catastrophic), PCV valve, oil consumption. The older Tiptronic torque-converter automatic is more durable than DSG but feels dated. As a low-volume short-run US Audi, dealer service depth varies.
