Audi A6 C7 (4th Generation)

2012–2018 · C7 · sedan

Cleaner C-pillar styling, more aluminum in the body, MMI 3G+. 2.0T EA888 (A6 2.0T), 3.0T supercharged V6 (CGWB/CTUA, the volume engine), 3.0 TDI diesel (impacted by Dieselgate), 4.0T biturbo V8 in S6 / S7 / RS7. The 3.0T became Audi's defining engine of this generation.

Watch out: 3.0T supercharged: water pump failure (well-documented expensive repair), supercharger snout bearing wear, carbon buildup on intakes. 4.0T V8 (S6/S7/RS7): timing chain stretch and PCV valve issues. TDI cars: emissions software updates and post-Dieselgate compliance servicing.
