Acura ZDX 1st Generation

20102013 · YB1 · suv

The ZDX was Acura's coupe-profile crossover, sharing the platform with the 2nd-gen MDX. Powered by the 3.7L J37 V6 at 300 hp paired with Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD). Built in Alliston, Ontario. Production ran 2010-2013 for the North American market; total US production was approximately 7,191 units, making it one of Acura's lowest-volume modern vehicles.

Watch out: Low production volume means used parts (especially body panels and the unique rear glass hatch) are scarce and expensive. The J37 V6 with VCM has the same potential for oil consumption and spark plug fouling that affects other VCM-equipped Honda V6 cars of the era. The 6-speed automatic uses standard Honda ATF-DW1 fluid service intervals.

Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
