Acura Vigor 1st Generation (CC2/CC3)

The Acura Vigor was a short-lived mid-size sport sedan sold in the US from 1992 to 1994, positioned between the Integra and the Legend. Its defining oddity was the powertrain layout: a 2.5L inline-five (the G25A1) mounted longitudinally but driving the front wheels, a rare configuration that gave it a distinctive nose-heavy character and smooth five-cylinder sound. A 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic were offered. It was effectively a B-pillar hardtop sedan derived from the Honda Inspire family, and after just three model years it was replaced by the first Acura TL, which carried over the same longitudinal-five idea.

Watch out: These are now rare 30-plus-year-old cars, so parts availability for the inline-five and the Vigor-specific trim is the real ownership challenge, and finding a clean unmolested example is harder than the modest values suggest. Mechanically the concerns are age-typical: aging cooling components, seals, and suspension bushings, plus the scarcity of replacement interior and body trim.
