Acura TSX US Generations (CL9/CU2)
2004–2014 · CL9/CU2 · sedan
The TSX launched 2004 as the US version of the Japanese-market Honda Accord, slotting below the TL. CL9 first generation (2004-2008) used the K24A2 2.4L i-VTEC making 200hp (205hp from 2006), 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. CU2 second generation (2009-2014) added a 3.5L V6 J35Z6 option for North America and a Sport Wagon variant (2011-2014). All TSX models were built in Sayama, Japan. Replaced by the TLX after 2014.
Watch out: K24A2 valve-cover gasket and VTC actuator are common wear items at higher mileage. The 2011-2014 Sport Wagon is the rarest body style and prices have firmed up on clean examples. CL9 with the 6-speed manual remains the enthusiast pick of the lineup.
