Acura TLX 2nd Generation
2021–2025 · sedan
The 2nd-gen TLX moved to a dedicated Acura platform (not Civic/Accord-derived), with a 2.0L turbo I4 making 272hp on base trims and a 3.0L turbocharged V6 making 355hp on the Type S, the first Type S sedan in over a decade. 10-speed automatic. FWD or SH-AWD. Electric brake-by-wire system, adaptive dampers, available 10.5-inch head-up display. Production ended July 2025 as Acura shifted focus to the upcoming RSX EV crossover.
Watch out: Type S 3.0T turbo lag at low rpm and front-tire wear from the SH-AWD's torque vectoring are the most-discussed driving traits. The 10-speed has held up better in long-term reporting than the 9-speed it replaced. Otherwise no settled fault pattern at this point in the platform's life.
Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
