Acura TLX 1st Generation

20152020 · UB1-UB4 · sedan

The 1st-gen TLX launched 2015 as the single sedan replacement for both the TL and TSX. K24W7 2.4L making 206hp with an 8-speed dual-clutch on FWD cars; J35Y6 3.5L V6 making 290hp with a 9-speed automatic and optional SH-AWD. The 2018 refresh added A-Spec styling and updated infotainment. Built in Marysville, Ohio.

Watch out: ZF 9HP 9-speed automatic on the V6 cars drew the same harsh-shift and recall pattern as on the Pilot of the same era; software updates over the run resolved most complaints. The 2.4L 8-speed DCT is more polished but loses some of the FWD-Acura sport-sedan character of the prior TSX it replaced.
