Acura MDX 4th Generation

The 4th-gen MDX launched 2022 on a dedicated Acura platform separated from the Pilot. J35Y8 3.5L V6 (290hp) on base; 3.0L twin-scroll turbocharged V6 (355hp) on Type S. 10-speed automatic. SH-AWD standard on Type S and optional on lower trims. The MDX is Acura's flagship now that the RLX is discontinued. IIHS Top Safety Pick+ for the 2022 model year.

Watch out: True Touchpad Interface infotainment carries over from the RDX and continues to draw the same usability complaints. Type S air-suspension reliability is the long-term wild card on used examples; no defining fault pattern at this point in the platform's life.
