Only when: handling concentrate · splash risk · sensitive individuals
Translated from the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
SDS Section 8 calls for chemical goggles or safety glasses. Section 2 carries no product-level eye-hazard code and Section 11 lists eye irritation as not classified for the mixture, so this is a concentrate pour-fill / splash precaution, not a mixture-level eye hazard. The SDS also notes exposure may aggravate pre-existing eye conditions.

Only when: handling concentrate · splash risk · sensitive individuals
Translated from the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
SDS Section 8 calls for chemically resistant gloves and suitable protective clothing. Section 2 carries no product-level skin-hazard code and Section 11 lists skin irritation as not classified for the mixture, so gloves are a concentrate-handling precaution, not a corrosive-hazard requirement. The intensely blue dye also stains skin at concentrate strength, and the SDS notes exposure may aggravate pre-existing skin conditions.

Only when: in enclosed space · handling concentrate
Translated from the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, Section 8
SDS Section 8 calls for adequate ventilation in confined areas and conditions respiratory protection on exceeding exposure limits or experiencing irritation. Section 2 carries no product-level inhalation-hazard code, so this is a ventilation / enclosed-space precaution during concentrate pour-fill, not a respirator requirement for normal outdoor top-off.

No PPE specified in published sources for ventilation. Absence does not imply “not needed” — consult the full Safety Data Sheet.
PPE tiers translate the manufacturer’s SDS and U.S. regulatory standards. Not professional safety advice. How we report safety.
Scope of these PPE tiers. The tiers on this page translate the product's Safety Data Sheet where one is published, plus its ingredient chemistry, into a comparable rating. They describe a formulation, not a situation: a tier is not a safety determination for any specific user, task, quantity, or environment. The manufacturer's label and use instructions govern how the product is handled. Where the product is used at work, the employer's PPE program and hazard assessment under 29 CFR 1910.132 decide what protection is selected, not this page.

TL;DR A summer-only concentrate that yields up to 165 gallons per 16-oz bottle · impressive value for mild-climate daily drivers. No freeze protection whatsoever; health score is 9.0/10, reflecting a clean, alcohol-free surfactant formula that the SDS classifies as not hazardous.
Super K Concentrate is an alcohol-free surfactant blend in a 16-oz pump bottle, rated to 32°F · meaning the working solution freezes at the ordinary freezing point of water. The pump dispenses concentrate directly into the reservoir and you add water; distilled water is recommended for best results. At standard strength, three pumps per gallon yields up to 165 gallons from a single bottle · well above the threshold for outstanding concentrate value. Community reviews confirm adequate cleaning of light road film and dust at proper dilution. Streak complaints are minimal at the correct mix ratio. Two documented weak points drag the quality score: no freeze protection in any meaningful sense, and a recurring pattern of pump failures and cap leaks that let the intensely blue dye stain hands, clothes, and garage surfaces.
Best for warm-climate daily drivers who want an unusually cost-effective concentrate and never see freezing temperatures. Skip it if you live anywhere the reservoir could freeze · this product will leave lines blocked by ice. Skip it too if reliable packaging matters; a leaky pump bottle with a dye this intense is a maintenance nuisance in the engine bay.
The SDS §2 classification is NOT CLASSIFIED with no signal word and no product-level GHS hazard codes, making this one of the cleaner formulas in the category. The blue dye stains skin at concentrate strength despite the absence of a product-level skin-hazard classification, so a disposable glove during pour-fill is practical. Environmentally, the fluid is drain-destined · it runs off the windshield into stormwater · and one ingredient carries confirmed aquatic toxicity codes at the ingredient level, applying a moderate environment deduction. No biodegradability confirmation is available from the SDS.
Yes. The Summer Blend contains no antifreeze component, so the working solution freezes at 32°F. It is not suitable for climates where reservoir or washer-line temperatures can drop to freezing. Super K offers a separate Winter Blend product.
Three pump doses are added per gallon of water at normal strength. The 16-oz bottle delivers up to 165 gallons of working solution at that ratio, which makes the per-gallon cost significantly lower than pre-diluted alternatives.
