TL;DR The D3 splash mark is not verifiable from listing photos · the cert claim is listing text only. The vent design is indirect (confirmed from the product photo), and the sealed OTG polycarbonate construction fits over prescription eyewear, but splash certification cannot be confirmed pre-purchase.
A sealed OTG splash goggle: polycarbonate lens, blue plastic frame, baffled indirect-vent design, fits over most prescription eyewear. The listing claims ANSI Z87.1+ and D3 splash certification, but neither the D3 lens marking nor the Z87.1 frame marking is visible in the listing photos · cert status is unverified. Anti-fog relies on coating plus indirect-vent airflow; owner feedback reports reliable use during under-vehicle work, but fog behavior under a respirator is undocumented.
Prescription eyeglass wearers who need a sealed OTG goggle for lighter chemical work (degreaser spray, wheel-acid application) and can accept unverified cert status. Skip it where confirmed D3 certification is required; any D3-verified sealed splash goggle is the right alternative.
No chemical exposure from the polycarbonate and plastic construction. Mixed-material bonded assembly (polycarbonate, plastic, foam, elastic) is not curbside-recyclable.
