This size is built for sedans up to 14 feet 2 inches long (170 inches), which covers most compact and mid-size sedans. It is a semi-custom cover, meaning it uses an elasticized hem and built-in grommets for a snug drape rather than a vehicle-specific sewn pattern, so fit varies a little by body shape. Measure your car bumper to bumper before ordering, and note that it is not designed to entirely cover the wheels. Longer sedans have larger sizes in the same line (up to 16 ft. 8 in. and up to 19 ft.).

Amazon lists the water resistance level as Water Resistant. The cover uses triple-layer polypropylene with ultrasonically-welded seams to improve water resistance, and the manufacturer says the fabric lets trapped condensation escape by evaporation rather than sealing it in. It handles rain, dust, pollution, bird droppings, tree sap, and UV fading in normal outdoor storage, but no head-pressure waterproof rating is published, so treat it as strongly water-resistant rather than fully waterproof under sustained heavy rain.

The manufacturer describes the inner face as a soft fabric that will not scratch the surface of the car. It is the soft side of the triple-layer laminate rather than a separate plush fleece liner. No independent community reports of scratching were found, but there is also no independent confirmation of safety on freshly ceramic-coated or dark paint. If your vehicle has soft or freshly coated paint, keep the body clean before covering and make sure the cover is secured so it does not shift in wind.

It does not include tie-down straps or a belly strap. Retention comes from the elastic hem cord and built-in grommets, which give a custom-like snug fit and let you run your own tie line through the grommets if you store the car in a windy spot. A storage bag is included. For frequent high-wind exposure, a cover with a dedicated strap system provides more positive retention.

Duck Covers is a brand line owned by Classic Accessories and is sold under its own name at retailers like Home Depot, Target, and Wayfair.
