TL;DR Compact and genuinely lightweight · about the size of a car battery · the CMEPW1700 handles car washing, siding, and light driveway grime on a 35-ft cord with no fuel smell or startup hassle. CSA certification is claimed on the product spec sheet but no listing number was confirmed in a public database; foam cannon compatibility is marginal at 1.2 GPM. A solid pick for occasional car washing at this price range.
The CMEPW1700 delivers 1,700 PSI label spec at 1.2 GPM · on paper 2,040 cleaning units, but expect community output closer to 1,300 CU in real use for this price class. That is enough to clean a regularly washed daily driver, strip light brake dust, and rinse siding without repositioning the unit. The 35-ft cord and 20-ft hose give reach around a full-size sedan from a single outlet. Included accessories are limited: 40° fan and turbo nozzle, plus a soap applicator bottle · no 0° or 15° nozzle. The turbo nozzle handles stubborn grime but should be used at the full recommended standoff distance on paint. Onboard storage for hose, cord, wand, and nozzles keeps it compact between sessions.
Best for occasional car washers · once or twice a month on one or two vehicles · who want corded convenience without wrestling a heavy wheeled unit out of the garage. A 2-year confirmed use from a detailing business owner suggests it holds up at light commercial frequency. Skip it if you run a foam cannon setup expecting thick foam; 1.2 GPM is at the minimum threshold and results will be thin. Also skip it if you wash concrete or a large deck regularly alongside the car · the CMEPW2100 sibling or a 2,000+ PSI unit is better suited.
CSA certification is listed in the product spec field for this model but no product-specific listing number was confirmed in the CSA Group public directory; treat this unit as having no independently verified NRTL electrical safety listing. The built-in GFCI plug is confirmed. No CPSC recall is on file as of June 2026. There is no chemical exposure from the device itself. Dispose via a municipal e-waste program (Best Buy drop-off or municipal hazardous waste event) at end of life · no lithium battery to manage separately.
