Decent, but it's tough on the environment.

TL;DR Bollé's own datasheet marks this SKU (40091) Z87+U6 · impact and UV only, no D3 splash code · so it is a sealed dust and impact goggle, not verified chemical-splash protection, despite reseller listings citing D3. Convertible, no replacement-lens program.
The Cobra is a convertible Bollé design worn here as a goggle: clear 2.2 mm polycarbonate lens, sealed nylon/PC/TPR frame, EVA foam seal, adjustable nylon strap, and a Platinum anti-fog/anti-scratch dip coating on both faces. Bollé's datasheet, matched by UPC, marks reference 40091 as Z87+U6 · a dust and impact goggle, not a D3 splash goggle. No replacement-lens program exists, and no independent community durability data was found for this reference.
Consider it for dust, sanding debris, and general impact shop work where a foam-sealed impact goggle with UV protection fits. Skip it for wheel-acid or brake-cleaner work · the 40091 has no D3 splash mark, so a datasheet-confirmed D3 goggle is the right choice there.
Passive plastic assembly, no chemical exposure from wear; EVA foam and nylon strap, no latex. Mixed-material build with no replacement parts lands in landfill.
No. Bollé's own COBRA industrial technical datasheet, matched by this SKU's UPC (054917277833), marks reference 40091 as lens Z87+U6 and frame Z87+ · impact and UV protection only, with no D3 droplet/splash code. The D3 D4 D5 marking in the Cobra family belongs to a different reference (40248), not this one. Some reseller listings cite D3 for the 40091, but the manufacturer datasheet confirms it is a dust and impact goggle, not verified splash protection. For acid or brake-cleaner work where a documented D3 rating matters, choose a goggle with a photo-verified or datasheet-confirmed D3 mark.
Per Bollé's datasheet it is a foam-sealed dust and impact goggle: Z87+ high-impact rating plus U6 UV protection, with a foam gasket that blocks airborne dust and debris. It is worn here in its strap-and-foam goggle configuration (the Cobra is convertible between temples and a strap). It is appropriate for sanding, grinding debris, and dusty shop work · not for liquid chemical splash, which needs the D3 mark this SKU does not carry.
No latex is disclosed · Bollé's datasheet lists an EVA foam seal and a nylon-polyester strap, so no latex-allergen deduction applies. The Prop 65 warning on the listing names Bisphenol-A (BPA), which is inherent to the polycarbonate the lens and frame are molded from. It is a materials-composition disclosure for the plastic, not a wear-time chemical exposure from using the goggle.
Not through a Bollé parts program for this reference. Bollé's datasheet states that a pitted, scratched, or damaged lens or a damaged frame requires replacing the complete product. A separate foam-and-strap kit exists as an accessory for the Cobra line, but there is no replacement-lens program, so a crazed or scratched lens means replacing the whole goggle.
